Father's Day 2009

we took Dan to see Chicago/EarthWind&Fire

in Indy for Father's Day this year. It was amazing,

and God was proclaimed as the giver of blessngs

in the 40 years that these groups have been

together...performing, original members still strong.

Like a marriage that puts Him first, 40 years is

full of times of trouble, sadness and shakey ground,

but the lowest valleys WITH Jesus are higher than

the highest mountains witout Him!

God is good!

God is good...

to make the decision to have a cheerful heart!
I don't always choose it, and my strength is ALWAYS. Sapped!

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength.

I am so thankful to God for the opportunity every day

Matthew 4:23-24

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues,

preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every 

disease and sickness among the people.

News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought

to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering

severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and

the paralyzed, and He healed them.

Dear Jesus,

I want to live a passionate life.

A life of loving people,

just like You did.

Providing what they need;

a shoulder to cry on,

a ride to work,

a word of encouragement.

I want to be an instrument

of Your healing in this world.
